Safety is not the absence of threat, it is the presence of connection — Gabor Maté
Nervous System Support
This session is for you and your nervous system — a space to slow down, reflect, and simply be.
Each session is tailored to your needs and may weave together a combination of kōrero (story and discussion), nervous system awareness and education , guided yin yoga, and gentle head and neck massage. No two sessions look exactly the same, and that's intentional — how you're feeling on the day will always shape what we do together.
My aim is to offer a space that feels safe and connected, using coregulation to help you feel calmer and more grounded in yourself.
"Having regular appointments with Amy has enabled me to recognise when my body is feeling stressed and I am better able to calm myself when uncomfortable situations arise. I now consider her to be a valuable part of my Self Care Team”
How this nurtures your well-being
How this supports your wellbeing
When our nervous system is under pressure — from stress, overwhelm, and a constant ‘switched on’ feeling — it can leave us stuck in survival mode: anxious, reactive, exhausted, or disconnected. Taking time to gently get to know your nervous system can begin to shift that.
Regular nervous system support can help with
Stress and anxiety — moving from a state of fight-or-flight toward a more relaxed, resourced state, reducing anxiety and building our ‘window of tolerance” (ability to cope).
Emotional regulation — greater stability, fewer mood swings, and more capacity to respond thoughtfully rather than reactively
Sleep quality — a calmer system at rest supports deeper, more restorative sleep
Focus and clarity — when we are able to shift out of survival mode, it becomes easier to concentrate and feel present
Pain and tension — awareness and presence can ease both physical tension and the experience of chronic pain, supporting better circulation and body awareness
Connection to self — developing a felt sense of safety in your own body, and the tools to regulate when we experience life’s challenges
When you understand how your nervous system works and learn to gently support it, you can begin to rebuild resilience, restore calm, and feel safer within yourself. These sessions are a place to practice exactly that — with guidance, warmth, and no pressure to be anywhere other than where you are
